These tiles are very old, at least the building they are attached to is. Click on the picture and notice each is showing the palm of their hand and the symbol in it. The "baby "elephant god is sitting on the back of a cow.
The Hindu God with the Elephant head is extremely popular and pictures and small idols are found every where. The small auto rickshaws have the pictures of the Hindu gods in most of their vehicles. On the small corner table is the grown Elephant man. His story is that his head was cut off, and in order to save his life, his god mother took the head from the first creature that passed by, which was an elephant. I found some ceramic tiles on a very old building that feature three pictures of Hindu gods.
Near our apartment there is a large tree that has become the object of worship. Small idols, food and incense are offered at the base of the tree for worship purposes. Here is a couple offering food and incense at the tree.

Here is dad, at the vendors, buying some peanuts. I don't know why he keeps buying peanuts, first in China, now in India. In China the peanuts were full of sand. In India they are so small that they are hardly worth all of the work.
On our way to our Green Park Extension we can see the wild pigs, the wild dogs, and the cows roaming in and around the streets.
