We heard music of a band and went to our balcony. Usually when we hear a band going by, it is a funeral. This time it was a short parade. We see several of these small parades spring up around the city. Usually they have older men sitting on the floats wearing the orange or while robes. They offered a bucket full of water for the animals to take a drink, then came down the street and passed under our balcony.
This photo was taken from our balcony window. We went out onto the balcony because we heard a band. Sometimes that will mean a funeral, but this time it was a parade of sorts. We see many short parades like this. Some parades have a group of women going before the float, sweeping the street. The floats are usually not this nice. Most of the floats have older men sitting on the float, wearing their orange or white robes.
Here is your father/Grandfather whom I call Handsome Man. He has survived China and India because he has been able to find peanut butter and honey in both countries. He also finds raisins, and I try to make rice and raisin pudding as often as I can for him to snack on.
